HAVE YOU ever wondered how to pray for someone involved in ministry? John 17:15 says, "Father, I don’t ask you to take my followers out of the world, but keep them safe from the evil one." Just as the first disciples needed the prayer support of Christ Jesus and their brethren, today’s Believers, who are serving our First Nations people, depend on prayer warriors to stand in the gap for them. TODAY, I INVITE YOU to pray with me that our Native people and those serving in Native Ministry will be kept safe from the enemy. Romans 8:26 says " . . . when we don’t know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us in ways that cannot be put into words." Ephesians 6:18 says, "Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people." Ask our Creator to allow our First Nations people and those serving in Native Ministry to be kept safe from the evil one. ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES (4 translations: The Scriptures, CEV, Amplified, KJV): "The Scriptures" is a translation that includes the original Hebrew names and has the books in chronological order. The Contemporary English Version (CEV) is a translation that is written for 'oral tradition' peoples and it flows well while reading it aloud. The Amplified version is one where meanings of words and phrases are 'amplified' for better understanding. The King James Version (KJV) is the translation that works well with Strong's Concordance. Please also note the links to Scripture in Cherokee. Yohanan 17:9-15 - "I pray for them. I
do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are
Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I have been
esteemed in them. And I am no more in the world, but these are in the world,
and I come to You. Set-apart Father, guard them in Your name which You have
given Me, so that they might be one, as We are. When I was with them in the
world, I was guarding them in Your Name which You have given Me, and I
watched over them, and not one of them perished except the son of
destruction, that the Scripture might be filled. And now I come to You. And
I speak these words in the world, so that they have My joy completed in
them. I have given them Your Word, and the world hated them because they are
not of the world, as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You
should take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the wicked
one." (The Scriptures) Romans 8:26-27 - "And in the same way
the Spirit does help in our weakness. For we do not know what we should
pray, but the Spirit Himself pleads our case for us with groanings
unutterable. And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the
Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the set-apart ones according to
Elohim." (The Scriptures) Ephesians 6:17-20 - "Take also the
helmet of deliverance, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of
Elohim, praying at all times, with all prayer and supplication in the
Spirit, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the set-apart
ones; also for me, that a word might be given to me in the opening of my
mouth, to be bold in making known the secret of the Good News, for which I
am an envoy in chains, that in it I might speak boldly, as I should speak." (The
Scriptures) 1 Thessalonians 5:25 - "Brothers,
