DO YOU remember the last time you fell on your knees to pray for your
mentor, your pastor, your employer or some other authority figure in your
life?
1 Timothy 2:2-3 says "Pray for kings and others in power, so that
we may live quiet and peaceful lives as we worship and honor God. This
kind of prayer is good, and it pleases God our Savior."
Those in power among our Native people, such as teachers, tribal
officials, church leaders, as well as other community authorities need
prayer!
TODAY, I INVITE YOU to pray with me that Believers throughout the country
will remember to pray for our leaders and rulers serving our Native
people.
1 Timothy 2:8 says, "I want everyone everywhere to lift innocent
hands toward heaven and pray, without being angry or arguing with each
other."
Ask our Creator to allow our rulers, leaders and all those in power
among our First Nations people to be remembered today in prayer and
thanksgiving.
ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES: John 17:20; Acts 14:23;
James 5:13-16.
