A Little History ...

It's sad, but 95% of Native American and First Nations Peoples worldwide have refused to have anything to do with Christianity.

Evangelistic methods used by the church for over 500+ years have not worked in introducing the Gospel of God's unconditional love, grace and forgiveness.  They have, instead, left deep spiritual and emotional scars that have never closed and healed.

Many Native Americans were told they must lay down their cultural heritage and identity in order to join the family of Christ;  that everyone in the body of Christ must look and act alike.

Cynthia and I are of Native American descent.  We have surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ and have been ministering to the Sacramento Native American community for five years.  Our singing and drumming give us opportunities to serve and minister at funerals and memorials.  We have been honored to work side by side with leaders and elders at many community events.

Reaching First Nations People is difficult.  I have personally experienced rejection and verbal abuse from some Native brothers.  But, if out of every 100 that reject the loving message of God, one will say, "I need God in my life.  Will you pray with me?"  Then it is all worth it ...
