For over 200 years missionaries from various denominations have been sent among the Native peoples of this North American continent;  yet today there are less that 2% of those people who profess to be Christians.  This figure has led to two questions:

(1)  Where are they?
(2) Why aren't they professing to be Christians?

The answer is shown that most, after 'trying' Christianity have returned to 'being Indians'.

Our call is to present to our people that the Creator has created them just as they are.  They can still be Native and also be a Christian.  Some things of our culture can be redeemed for the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We present the Gospel by using our Native regalia and music through dance and drama.  The ministry began directed at the pow-wow setting and that is still done;  we have also done community functions, schools and churches of various denominations.  Where ever the Lord opens up the doors of opportunity to share the Gospel message.

Warriors for Christ!  began in August of 1995 as a skit at our local pow-wow.  A group of youth from our congregation were up to the challenge, scared and not knowing what to expect, they went and did a presentation called, "Dance the Good Dance".

After all was done, the coordinator of a pow-wow in Montana contacted the Pastor.  He invited our group to come and present what was done at our pow-wow.  Since none of our people had ever been involved in the Native dance, none had any type of regalia.  However, in little over a months time with the help of families and friends we were on the road with 'regalia'.

Since that time, the team is now fewer in number but the Lord still continues to use us.  He has allowed us to travel many miles over the years.  Some of the areas include south to Port Isabel, TX, west to Hemet, CA, east to Albany, NY and north to Anchorage and Fairbanks, AK.  We have been privileged to travel to various parts of Canada and Mexico.  The Lord is so faithful to His call, we just need to keep ourselves available to answer that call.
