DO YOU recall the first time you saw a sunset and knew it was made by
our Creator? How long until you saw and believed in the Light, who is
Jesus?
In Romans 1:19-20, Paul writes that all people, since the beginning of
creation, know about God’s power and character by the things He has
made.
Like you, our Native people know our Creator by what they have seen.
However, many of them still need to hear the truth about His Son, Christ
Jesus.
TODAY, I INVITE YOU to pray with me that our Native people will not only
know our Creator, but also His Son, Jesus, who is the Light.
Matthew 4:16 says, "Although your people live in darkness, they
will see a bright light. Although they live in the shadow of death, a
light will shine on them."
Ask our Creator to open the eyes of our First Nations people, who know
Him by His creation, so that they will also know His Son, who is their
Light and their Salvation.
ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES (4 translations: The Scriptures, CEV, Amplified, KJV):
"The Scriptures" is a translation that includes the original Hebrew names
and has the books in chronological order. The Contemporary English
Version (CEV) is a translation that is written for 'oral tradition'
peoples and it flows well while reading it aloud. The Amplified
version is one where meanings of words and phrases are 'amplified' for
better understanding. The King James Version (KJV) is the
translation that works well with Strong's Concordance. Please also note
the links to Scripture in Cherokee.
John 3:19-21; Psalm 27:1;
Psalm 67:7; Ezekiel 38:23; Romans 1:18-20; John 16:13; Mark 12:29-34; James 1:27.
